The young funk band Funky Times can definitely be described as an internet sensation. Since their formation in early 2020, their virtuoso, funky, good-mood videos have regularly gone viral on platforms such as Instagram and TikTok and have resulted in a large number of collaborations with musicians from all over the world, such as bassist Henrik Linder from Dirty Loops or former Prince trumpeter Philip Lassiter. This is also how funk legend Candy Dulfer became aware of them: "One of my favorite new bands," she said of Funky Times and even invited the band to her "Candy's Choice" concert series in Amsterdam. Groovy basslines meet a singing drummer, virtuoso keyboard solos meet funky guitar riffs. The band from the Aschaffenburg area in colorful windbreaker tracksuits simply knows how to create a good atmosphere.
